Valentine's Day of 2012

How was your Valentine's Day? I know it was like 2 weeks ago but yeah I am that lazy. We just went for a simple dinner with his parents and go shopping. But he did something that was such a surprise. This bouquet was waiting for me when I arrive home. So sweet can!!!!! You can't really see the number of roses. But there were 9  stalks,  which means 'Together Forever' (Bi told me one) Bi told me that he wont be buying me flowers this year as he wanted to save and flowers are blardy expensive on V-day. So I was really touched!!!!! And he knew I loved pink and so Bi got me pink roses mixed with smaller blooms of red roses. Simple makeup look (Yeah yeah its the same pic that  I am using as my profile pic) Did very simple makeup for dinner since someone don't like me with heavy makeup. Like this he also complain already. He is always after me saying that he doesn't want me to use makeup, he prefer me to go out with a naked face. My dinner!!!!...
I am so in love with Katy Perry's The one that got away! But I am glad that the song doesn't apply to me. Coz I have "The One" by my side. For now and forever.

Exercise regime

Tried out interval running today. Well it feels great. I did not want to start with the most basic. So I started with 5 sets of 3/2 with 5 mins of warm up and cool down. Surprisingly I felt tired but still able to play badminton. 3/2 simply means running for 3 minutes followed by 2 mins of brisk walking. There are lots of benefits for interval running. But first and foremost it can be for weight loss in addition to Increase of stamina. After running, I played badminton! It was fun although I did sort of cause my partner to lose 2 matches. Haha. Well the opponent was damn strong ok. Me and a guy versus 2 guys! Oh well it was a very fun match. The others of coz won coz it was ladies double. Have to train harder as the charity run gets nearer
I literally lazed around the whole day on Sunday!!!! Lazy de me.  Had an 'AH-HA' moment when I saw that there was loads of white bread in the fridge.  The 'AH-HA' moment Stale white bread = bread pudding  I had cravings for some bread pudding for like ages! So after dinner, I had Bi driving me to Hua Ho to get the ingredients. There was some bananas lying around in the kitchen as well so I had decided to make banana bread pudding! Ingredients: Very ripe bananas around 4-5 pieces. If you love bananas, just add more.  6 eggs 4 cups half and half. (I had to google this. I had known that this will not be available in Brunei so I made some substitution. Equal parts of whole milk and whipping cream) 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (without sugar) 1/2 stick of butter unsalted 1 teaspoon nutmeg (Hua Ho dun have this spice. I got it at Le apple) 3/4 cups sugar Slice all the bananas . Melt abit of butter and add in 2 table spoon of brown sugar. Ad...

Simple yet delicious dinner

The other day I did post that I really feel like eating Japanese Curry. So I went off work promptly on time on Wednesday (no baddie coz they are having the netball tournament). Got ready all the ingredients and quickly rushed home. I have never cooked Japanese Kare before but it should be easy peasy as described online. Ingredients: Carrots Potatoes Onions Fresh Tomatoes Boneless Chicken breasts Salt Tongarashi (coz the kare is not spicy enough) Sugar Just stir fry the onions, carrots, fresh tomatoes and potatoes until fragrant and then mix in the chicken breast pieces until brown. Mix in the kare pieces. Add in hot water (or chicken stock) and cook thoroughly, which is roughly around 15 to 20 minutes, stirring from time to time. When it is about done, mix in salt and sugar according to taste. I mixed in some tongarashi coz the Japanese Kare is really not spicy at all! Here you go!!!! The end result!!!! Its pretty hassle free. So if you are in a hurry...
Been so long since I last post anything. The reason is that with 1 click I had lost almost all my photos in blogger. (Its like 85% of the photos were lost). Such pity!!!! Anyway, I am cooking dinner tonight. Don't be so surprised can? I can cook. This can be verified from the pure weight gain of Abbi. The theme for tonight will be Japanese (more or less) Hopefully I will remember to take photos of everything that I'll be making tonight.

1st post on Android

I have always been an iphone user. And when Bi offered to buy me a new phone, I wanted to go for iphone 4s. But the price were ridiculous! When it was first available in Brunei, it was a little over and 2k for the 32g. So I started looking for alternatives. Wasn't that impress with S2 (it was old news then) nothing impress me so much as iphone did. When I first saw Samsung galaxy note, my first reaction was 'wow'! Now that was a phone that actually got me excited! But the cheer size of it was a deterrent. So I told bi about it. And if the size Ian ok, I'll definitely get the Note. Imagine combining a tablet and a phone. Major WOW factor there! It fits perfectly in my hands! It has a 5.3" super AMOLED HD screen. Been having lots of fun exploring around android. I had customized.my ringtones and notifications alerts. Big big thank you tp my Abbi.
This is really good advice for those who are regulars facebook-ers. I find that too many people are sharing way too much things on facebook. I know, I know, who am I to say right? The thing is that I may share a lot of things on FB but I select what I want to share. Everyone should be more selective as well. When I first started out in FB, I was very, extremely active. Sharing way too much info about my life with too many people. But after experiencing so many ups and extreme downs, I learn not to share that much. So yeah, heed my advice, be careful of what you share on FB.

On your pets going home

Do you have any pets? Or did you have any pets? I have a dog and his name is Bibineh, strange name I know but he was named after a person. I loved him dearly. After all, it has given me unconditional love for the past 10 years. It does not judge me. Whether I am looking (or rather feeling) fabulous, or feeling shitty. Bibineh was there for me. He is so smart. He knows and understand whatever emotions that I am in. What would you do if its time is near? How do you deal with it? I read about a man knowing that his dog will not live for long and decide to spend a perfect day with his dog. A perfect day for his dog and not himself. Doing the things that his dog love. The story is as below. Click here for the link. It brought tears to my eyes while reading it. The Perfect Day His dog was dying. But they could spend one last day together. How do you treat your own parents? Read this and this . Its just sad that there are people like that in this world. I know that my parents love me. They provided me with education and the knowledge that I know that I can be independent in this society. For that I will always be grateful. I was born into an era where inequality of the sex are still plentiful. But I know that my parents love us all equally as well as my beloved grandpa (who sadly passed on when I was only 6 years old) My guess is that those people are too spoiled and self centered and their parents loved them just a bit too much. Treasure your parents and care for them while they are still with you.

Beauty time

After the Sydney trip, my face was kinda dry at some areas so I have to be very hardworking to continuously use face masks. Actizen is currently my favorite mask. I have mask from skin 79 and melilea as well. Am using the melilea mask tonite. Guarantee to keep my skin smooth and supple!!!! When did you last use any mask? - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

On getting old and bouncing back and needing lots of luck

I am getting old now.......I can really feel all of the 20+ years. Shoulder aching, eyes are also sore, headaches......sigh, I wanna be 18 once again. Been busy lately, yeah yeah yeah same old story, when am I not busy? I guess coz its just that I try to do so many things that I totally do not have the time to do anymore. I am on a 3 week break from work for something that is very important to me. This is even more stressful than working I tell you. Its not easy. Especially for me. So I need all the luck and best wishes in the world. Pray for me. Back to the getting old part, I like to divert a lot. I feel so old!!!!! Even though I have not hit my 30s....sad isn't it. Life seems to be passing me by. Coz each day just passes by so freaking fast. It feels like in a blink of an eye. There are so many things to be grateful for and yet there are so many things that I wished that I had skipped. But admittedly, life is not that bad after all. I have made some new friends, gotten re-acquai...

Lost cities of the world

I have always been fascinated by all the myths and mythologies ever since I was young. I like documentaries about the tombs of famous pharaohs, lost cities, mysteries (yeah call me a nerd) Have a read here about how technologies verify certain myths about lost cities. Recalling back to my childhood, I read a lot of books like the Hardy boy s, Nancy Drew and the Three Investigators . They had these 3 in 1 books that were sold in Bismi (a book shop which is also selling stationeries) in my hometown Seria. I wonder whether I still have those books or not. There were fun to read. I still remember that there is a hint of romance between Nancy Drew and one of the Hardy boys. I wanted very much to be an investigator back then. It seem so interesting all the things that they do. Well, I wanted to be a lot of things when I was young. I even wanted to be an archaeologists. Coz I wanted to be the one to discover tombs of important people and study their lives. I am curious about everything. I g...

Different look

Tied up all my hair today! How do I look? Soft brown eye shadows with glittery eye liner but the glitter can't be seen here coz my iPhone camera is not that good. (as someone who always remind me that my camera is only 3.2mp) - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Blogging for the first time using iPad 2

So yeah have been enjoying my iPad 2.... Manage to find the screen protector for only B$15.00. but have been trying to find a case that tickles my fancy. Finally moved everything from my old house, the bad news is that although I had packed the fridge to the best that I could but my msmi told me just now on the phone that the fridge was dented. Heart pain to the max. My mami spent the night in Bandar last night. I miss her already. Brought her for foot spa and she loved it! My dad came to pick her up after he came back from Bandar. I miss them very much now although I spent the whole day with my mami. Here is a really blur pic of my parents while having dinner just now. My dad is like nearly blended into the dark background as he started fishing and thus his skin is very tanned. I had stayed in Bandar for more than 4 years now, going back occasionally during the odd weekend or so. I miss home. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

Good news from Bi

Bi called me at 11:40am this morning and told me "I have got good news for you.....guess what?" Me: "You suddenly got a lot of money?" (yaya, I am materialistic) Bi: "No, its regarding something that you keep nagging me last night one" Me: "Huh? Coach Bags?" Bi: "Noooo.....guess again, you just told me last night one." Me: *thinking very hard........* "Erm diamond rings?" Bi: "NOOOOOOO, Ipad 2. You just nagged me last night saying that you want one. My bro is queuing at AV there liaw. Finally and then lost again

Finally got my ring back from the Jeweler!!!! Courtesy of Mr Kelvin. Thanks for helping me to collect my ring. See how shiny it was? They plated white gold at the bottom of the ring coz it was turning a bit yellow from constant wear (for nearly 4 years liaw) But sadly, another small diamond has gone missing!!!!!! YIKES! And SIGH!!!!! I guess it's back to the jeweler. I miss it already. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

With makeup and without makeup

Had a good time with colleagues at DST 16th annual dinner tonite. As usual makeup at De'most saloon with makeup artist Moreen. She has not disappoint me yet. My hair was supposed to be curly but oh well the perils of having fine and too straight of a hair. And this is me with all makeup removed! I dun think that I look half bad without makeup except for that reddish cheeks and dark under eyes. What do you think? - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
