Cinema Experience

It's been quite some time since I last went to Miri to overnight. Since Bi came to work in Brunei, I have been neglecting my 3rd home......Miri. I lived there for 3 whole years le. Wonderful memories back then. Anyway, Bi and me went to watch Alien Vs Predator 2 in Star Cineplax.......Damn!!!!! The price of the tickets have increased from RM7.00 to RM9.00. Not converting to to Bnd la.....its damn expensive lo......when did the price increase to RM9.00 anyway.....the last time that I went to watch it was still RM7.00. How in the world did a movie ticket increase 28.57% in the span of 1 year? How indeed.....sigh. Oh yeah, Miri became Miri City liaw so everything also have to increase price...... I feel so sorry for Mirians whose salary did not increase but everything else is forever increasing. ok ok enough complaining about the movie tickets since it is cheaper than Brunei's movie tickets anyway (after converting) Now I wanna complain about the cinema environment...... The peopl...

Life is short

Life is fragile. It can be taken away in a split second. If only we all realized how fragile life can be, we would all have lived our lives a different way. Life is not measured by the quantity but measured by quality. Tell your loved ones how much you love them. Everyday. Don't wait till its too late. Don't let a silly argument comes between you all. Cherish all the times that you have together. Whether bad or good. Theoretically, we cant live forever. But we can live on in our friends and families heart. As long as we remember, one can live forever.

My friend

Yesterday, I heard from Bi and other friends that you have left us. It was so sudden that all of us did not expect it. Who would expect that one so young would have left us? We have not really kept in touch after Uni since we are in different countries. But I will always remember the times that we all spent together. Whether is it arguing over something, playing mahjong or lami, BBQ, watching movies in our "recreational house". The last that I hung put with you is during Kenny's birthday party. I miss those times. Although you have gone on to a better place, memories of you and the time we spent together will forever be in my heart. Rest in peace, my friend. I know that you have gone on to a better place where there is no pain, hatred nor hurt. We will meet one day again, till then, I'll keep you in my heart.

At working late

I watched P2 recently. The plot is that the lead actress, Angela worked late into the night on Christmas eve. When she tried to leave, her car (in the basement level 2, thus P2) just wont start. There was this creepy car park attendant who offered her help and even a little Christmas dinner, which Angela declined. How was Angela to know that Thomas, the car park attendant, was not giving her an option to reject his offer of the small Christmas dinner. Did I mention that the whole building was locked down? So there is no escape. In short, the whole story is about how Thomas chase after Angela all over the basement car park. Lessons learn from the P2. Lesson no. 1 Don't work late. It doesn't pay to work late. It almost got Angela killed. Yeah, this reminds me....I better not work so late anymore. Its kinda scary to be alone in the office. Every weird creaking sound will trigger alarm bells in my head. Lesson no. 2 Don't be so stupid and walk to the basement car park alone, es...

Different life?

Have you ever wondered how different your life would be if you have chosen another path? We are required to make decisions everyday. Big...small.....doesn't matter. Which route would you take to go to work each morning? What should I have for breakfast? Or bigger ones such as whether you should accept that new job offer? Whether to work in an altogether different field. To work in another country? Or how about if you have never met a particular person? Or vice versa, that you have met such a person? We have a lot of options at any one time in our life. The same goes for meeting people. We meet different people from different backgrounds. So if we made a mistake in one of the decisions in our life. Don't go beat yourself up about it. Have the courage to actually correct it. Get up and do something about it. The problem wont go away coz we are forever complaining about it. Just something someone asked me.

Work, work, work!!!!

Been so busy lately. With work and everything. So sorry there haven been any posts lately. Something really weird happened to my PC last week. I could not use the mouse and the keyboard at all. I had to borrow some USB keyboard and mouse and then I could log in. Weird. It must be some virus sleeping in my PC as I know that the virus is still there. If I am not connected to any wireless, it seems to be working fine. So, I dun have any access to internet at all. Sien!!!! But I'm so busy at work that I dun even miss having internet. Weird.......normally I would be so bored without Internet connection. So that must mean.......I really love this job that I'm currently doing. Its very interesting. Really it is!!!! Everyday I'll learn something new and I need to find ways and means on how to check certain things. I cant talk much about what I do at work coz of the confidentiality nature of my work. So......I just want to let people know that I really love my job. I know that wakin...

Its all coming altogether now.......GTR (R34)

I love cars, I love sport cars even more! Since I cant have all the sport cars that I like, I'll build the car model....hahaha The first car model that I built was an Evo 7. According to the staff at Nanyang, it was the easiest one available (for the Evo 7 only, there were other easier ones available of coz). It was an ok job. Building and painting the body was alright. But doing the decals is another matter altogether. Maybe its due to my fat, fat fingers, it was really a tough job to do it perfectly. Considering it was my first car model, it's not that bad. (ho Bi ho....not bad la ho?) Evo is Bi's dream car. So I built that one for him. Butthe Evo 7 is currently sitting in Miri (his house in Malaysia) and gathering dust. (So much for all my hard work!!!!) So now I am building the 2nd car model. Its a GTR, R34. It should look like this when completed. Cool le? But right now, it look like this, with all kinds of body part lying around. I haven gotten very far. Right now I a...

Today, 2 of my close workmates, whom we work very closely for the past 2 months. I'm gonna miss them lots. They have been very good workmates as well as friends. I'm gonna miss watching movies with you all, miss having lunch with u all too. You have made me laugh countless of times. I'm so glad that we have met. Let's keep in touch and meet up whenever we can. Take care my friends!

MV Doulos-Floating Book Fair

Went to the Largest floating book fair on Thursday with Jennifer, Shiling and Joe. There was so many people there already even though we went there straight after work. I met 2 cousins there, such a coincidence! (BSB is such a small place) One of the cousins was one that I had not met since Form 5 (distant cousins ba). There were so many people on the ship, that there is not enough space on the ship to maneuver around. I thought that there were novels available. I still manage to buy lots.....lets see dictionary for my sis, beauty book for another sis, detox books for myself, some baking books for myself as well....hehehe, the pricing were quite cheap, well not that cheap but cheaper than what the shops are normally selling them. It was out on the open air. It was so hot!!!!! I was sweating like a, like a....well just sweating alot. When we were leaving, there was such a crowd waiting to go on the ship. We were so lucky!!!! Parting shot (plz pardon my sweaty looks) Jennifer, Joe, me an...

Fridays!!!

Reasons why I love Fridays.... 1. Friday is the prelude to Saturday Imagine not having to wake up early in the morning to go to work.......ahhhhhh!!!! Having to wake up whenever you want to....that is bliss (i love sleeping, ok?) 2. Less Traffic There are no classes for students. Civil servants are not working on a Friday. Thus, there are less traffic on the road. Since there wont be traffic jams every where u go, I can sleep in for a bit on Friday morning and still be in time to punch my card before its 8:00. Less traffic also means that there are less tortoise on the roads. Some people are so irritating as they like to drive on the fast lane at about 100 km/h. (That seriously annoys me lo) Anyway, with less tortoise out there, I can drive faster (at a speed that befits my Silvia...hahaha) 3. Long lunch hour My lunch hour on Fridays is 2 and 1/2 hours. Long leh? This is to give allowances to my Muslim colleagues enough time to pray and to have time as well to eat their lunch. I can go...

Hari Raya Open House

Its that time of the year again where we all are gonna put on weight. hahaha Went to one of my colleague's open house during lunch time on Friday. There was alot of people so I din manage to take any pictures. Bi went with me as well. My company treated us to Empire for the Raya Celebrations on Wednesday. All staff worked half day only. Hehehe......But before we attack the food, we were treated to 2 dance performance and a short (short, tak pulang) sketch. But we were rewarded to a good meal and nice environment and nice company (my colleagues la). The sketch was too lengthy, so many if us escaped. hehe....we pretended to go to the washroom and just stayed outside of the ballroom. Just standing there....chit chatting with each other and making jokes out of everything. Since we were so free, we went around to check out the best table (meaning the table that is near to the buffet tables). This is not an easy task as the buffet are laid out in different tables, there is the starters t...

Started work

Started work today.....Really dun feel like working today. Luckily, we are only working half day today. Going to Empire for Hari Raya celebrations. Hehe...then after that we can go home....(yee ha....) I'm happy to see everyone after the long holidays. Everyone is in a good mood. Even those people who normally doesn't smile a lot, are grinning today. Its nice to see colleagues greeting each other 'Selamat Hari Raya' everywhere and exchanging pleasantries. Went to Bi's boss open house last nite. His house was great, the food and cakes were delicious and not forgetting his colleagues and their families are a delight to be around. They are so funny. Din manage to take pictures. Was feeling tired since I just drove up to Bandar and rushed home to change into my baju kurung.

Laziness

Bibi neh can be so lazy at times. (O...wait, he is lazy all the time. He is currently sleeping under my chair while I'm typing this.) See what happens when I put the mattress on the floor and he was in the way. He just sat there looking at me with his big brown eyes as if asking me "What?". I thought that when the mattress is on him, he would move but I guess I was wrong. He just slept there. Sigh!!! Lazy pig....I mean lazy dog...... he is behaving like his co-owner....the other Bi. hehehe.....

Top of my list

I feel as if I am missing out on a lot of interesting reads by simply not understanding how to read Chinese. So, since I am so free (as I'm taking a break from CPA), I have decided to get a crash course on learning how to read Chinese. How I am gonna do that? I dunno....yet..... I can either go for the Chinese tuition or I can sign up for a Chinese Language course in UBD. I'll research more on that.

Selamat Hari Raya

Selamat Hari Raya to all my Muslim friends and colleagues. I want to wish all my friends and colleagues to have a wonderful time. May your blessings be countless. May all enjoy good health and live a wonderful and fulfilling life. When I was driving to my Bi's place last nite (Raya eve), I saw many houses with decorations like fairy lights and the oil lamps. It fills my heart with such warmth. It reminds me of Chinese New Year with my family. So enjoy your holidays and remember that it is important to drive safely at all times and to buckle up always. Bless you all!!!!

I'm evil, stupid, bad things will happen to me as per someone

I know that Raya is tomolo. And I'm supposed to be wishing everyone "Selamat Hari Raya" But before that, I have something else that I wanna say. In response to my previous blog, there is one particular person who are leaving snide remarks. That particular person is so free. Left 2 comments already. (wow......who is that free? unless its some freaks who are too preoccupied by what's going on in the blogging world rather than the actual happenings) I kinda have an idea who that person might be. The style and wordings are so similar. I wish to say this once again. This is my blog. My thoughts. They may be repulsive to some and weirdly entertaining to some. This blog is not meant for anyone's entertainment but my own. Had I wanted to seek approval from other people, I would have sound so sickening sweet and always forgiving to all. So if anyone is not happy about what I had blog, please exit immediately. Since I have time to kill. Lets analyze what this "fan...

Extended Families

I have a huge family base since my mom has 11 other siblings. So conflict are kinda hard to avoid at times. So the comments that I have are those regarding my extended family. Some people are very hard to stand. I have this relative that loves to say terrible things. Worse, she will only talk behind your back. She laughs at you when you are worse off than she is. She will make sarcastic comments if you are better off than she is and she will say that it's luck that you are better off....its never due to hard work and determination. She is really annoying as she likes to look down on her own extended family just because they might not be as well off as she is. Very Chek Ak (wicked) you know. Bad karma! Then I have another cuz (same age as I am) who told her then housemate that I was a SLUT! How I found out about this? Easy, that particular housemate had worked for my parents for a short period of time, she told my mom about this. (Imagine hearing from your mom that someone says tha...

Hmmm

Went limteh with LLW last nite. WL was suppose to join us as well but she told us that she is not presentable after her month long confinement. So it was only us. Had a nice time bitching. hua hua hua. Have a save flight LLW. I wanna go Perth as well. I wan Corica Apple Strudle. I wan Jester Pies! I wanna go Habour town and Carousel. Sigh. I miss Perth!!!!!! I told Bi that Air Asia is now having a promo which costs only rm 299 one way. But he doesn't have enough leave. Damn. I officially hate working life. No wait, I already hate working life. I have been very busy. With work. Sigh! Now we are going head on with Phase 2. But then almost the whole team was sick. So they are back in Singapore now.....having a well deserved rest. Rest well!!!!! Hope you all feels better. On another topic. What kind of guys do you like?Or rather what attracts you to a guy? Their personality? Looks? Stability? Bank account balance? (Common, admit it) Their cool cars? I have to admit, looks do play a par...

More updates

I'm so busy! Although this is the puasa month, I have to work till 5:30 instead of the usual 3:00. Sigh! This is so unfair and I won't have any lunch time at all, which means that I have to work from 8:00 in the morning till 5:30 in the evening. The only good thing is that I can claim OT for that. But then its only B$8.00 per hour as that is the maximum that anyone can claim for OT. Its not all that much anyway. I have been very busy lately. With my work and everything. So when I reached home, I just wanna lie on my bed and sleep. Yeap. That's how lazy I am. Wait....I can actually be lazier....lol. Enough about my work. I have more than enough dosage of it without talking about it over the weekend. I went to claim that ice cream that I had won on Frankie's show last weekend. I won not one......but 2 (TWO) single scoop ice creams from Dream Cones with toppings lagi la. I got the Fererro Rochere flavour while Bi got Mocha (ever the coffee lover). The ice creams were lovel...

Riddles!!!

What is it that when people give you one, you will get two or none? This was the riddle that DJ Frankie asked this morning on his show. Hehe.....Bi was the one who told me about it. His guess is girlfriends, reasoning is that if you have 2 gf, either you have both girlfriends (where got girls so stupid one?) or both will leave you. My guess is choice. If people give you a choice, you will have 2 options to choose from or you can have none if you choose not to take the choice. And I was right.....hehe lucky guess..... and I won a B$ 10.00 voucher for Fusion,a restaurant whose slogan is East meet West. And the 2nd price is a free ice cream from Dream cones with my choice of toppings..... Yum Yum. Perhaps I'll go tomorrow night since I'm very busy these days and I just wanna lie in my bed after work.

Updates

Been so busy with work lately. The Revenue Assurance Project has kicked off. This is the first week so its mayhem with all the communications and everything. Hopefully everything will be running smoothly by the time the 2nd week comes around. I kena scolded during work today for something that I did not do, but the thing is its not my fault. Luckily, my direct supervisor took the time to listen to my side of the story. But the thing is that this is a very small matter and I believed that it has been blown out of proportion. Its just a very small matter. So why not just move on with our lives? I have more important thing to do rather than sit there and keep fuming over this matter, huh? Anyway, look wat happen to Bi's samsung that he bought about a month ago. Sigh! He cracked the screen. So now still waiting for the parts to arrive to fix it. Kesian kan? I called in to Pilihan Network on a Saturday and I won 2 vouchers! One is a free International Buffet and the other one is a 20% di...

Superman

Why, in the past, does Superman use to fly like the picture below? (with one arm raised) But why is Superman flying with both arms raised now? (as illustrated below) Hehehe...common....think......the answer is quite logical. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Coz in the past, Superman is using manual gear ma, so he needed the other arm to shift the gear knob (as illustrated below). Now using manual liaw......no need to constantly to shift the gear. Just shirt to 'D' and then fly....... WAHAHA The pictures are kindly illustrated by my wacky Bi. Hehe.

Poor bumper

I wanted to write about this during the long weekend. But the router back in my Seria home decided to take a holiday too. Someone backed into my car on Thursday night. Hmmm...the guy was a Japanese who is currently in Brunei for work purposes. Kesian my front bumper. The impact cracked my front bumper. Since my bumper is made of fibreglass, its much softer than the original bumper. Look at what the Japanese guy did to my car.... Car plate also cracked! Big crack Sigh! He was lucky that my head lamps are intact. Ok, ok. I'm not all that sad. Coz I was already looking for a new bumper. Either that or cut away 2 inch from my current bumper. Now a silly man comes along and decided to reversed into my bumper to subsidize a new bumper for me......why not??? I'm not that bad to ask him to pay B$600.00 for a new bumper. He just paid B$350.00. That's what one of the shops here quoted the Japanese guy. So here is the hard part. Choosing which bumper. So Bi and me searched the net and...

Mods

Finally we manage to find S 15 tail lamp. The original tail lamps are actually quite new but they are a bit blah....so my car need a bit of a make over. Before (with original tail lamp) After (called Crystal Lights I think) See the difference? Once I saw it in the shop, I was already drooling....hehe the same goes for Bi as well. There are other things that I would like to change as well...... 1. Front cushion covers (If I have the money, I would go for Recaro seats, replica of coz) 2. Front bumper. Its too low. Damn, every where I go, I have to worry and think ahead can my car actually go up on that hill? I know it kinda defeats the idea of a car....thats why I have to do something about this. Either I cut 2 inch off thee current bumper. Or I buy another one. Searched through the net for some ideas on which bumper is the best looking one. Veilside Front Bumper I like the design on both side of the bumper. But Bi pointed out to me that I'm gonna have the same problem as the curre...

Busy Busy

Have been very busy for the past week. I was assisting my HOU in preparing the project's contract signing ceremony. I was the MC lagi. Phew!!!! Lucky for me, the whole ceremony was over in about an hour. My HOU commented (when I was practising my part) that I speak very fast.....hehehe....I tend to do that if I'm nervous. There were some last minutes changes to my speech on Friday. Lucky for me again that I dun need to stand in front of everyone to announce.....hehehe....the PR people had set up a mic at the back where all the equipments are and I just have to sit there and talk....PHEW!!!!! Both my company CEO and COO was there so I cannot afford to make any silly mistakes. Especially in calling out the correct name with the correct designation. This is a very sensitive issue. After the ceremony, a few HOU told me that I did a good job. hehehe.... I was down to my last Baju Kurong on Friday. So I just wore the purple one. It was so cold on the 12th floor that I wore my blazer ...

Waiting

I'm still waiting. Dun like this anticipation man.....its killing me. Dun have the mood to write anything....just keep thinking about it. Oh yeah....the staff from the Accreditation Council finally gave me a call last Saturday. Boy, was she rude! Keep asking me for the Offer Letter.......Seriously.......I have told them a thousand times......I dun have it. I lost it. What do you want me to do???? Offer Letter is issued from the Uni at the start of my degree course, which is a over 5 years ago.......Tell me something......do you keep an unimportant document for 5 years????????? 5 FUCKING YEARS!!!!!! I thought that the Offer Letter is only needed when I enrolled in my Degree units for the first time.......... Does anyone.....anyone at all had the experience of any potential employer wanting to look at your offer letter????? NO!!!! They will only look at your degree cert...... I have been through my fair share of interviews and not one single employer did ask for my Offer Letter. Cant...

Launching of Project 3C

Friday the 13th I wonder why did they choose Friday the 13th to launch Project 3C..... Project 3C is a service excellence program that is intended to change the service culture that DST Group is currently in. The program strives to make it a living culture that all DST Group employees will live up to the standard. To instill in each and every employee of DST Group to have excellent customer skills. We intend to stand out from the rest. Anyway, evidently its a very important program for our company. All 7 of our branches were closed for the afternoon on 13.07.2007 to enable all the frontliners to come to DST HQ to participate in the launching. Even the staff from KB and Temburong were there. When we were on the 12th floor in the morning with the rest of the Secretariat, to check out the work of the Campaign and Promotions, I saw this.... Can see me? Damn I look so fat. Ba, I point out to u la. Hehe. Its me right there in the middle of the photo. Kinda weird when I'm quite new to the...
