Busy Busy

Have been very busy for the past week. I was assisting my HOU in preparing the project's contract signing ceremony. I was the MC lagi. Phew!!!! Lucky for me, the whole ceremony was over in about an hour. My HOU commented (when I was practising my part) that I speak very fast.....hehehe....I tend to do that if I'm nervous. There were some last minutes changes to my speech on Friday. Lucky for me again that I dun need to stand in front of everyone to announce.....hehehe....the PR people had set up a mic at the back where all the equipments are and I just have to sit there and talk....PHEW!!!!! Both my company CEO and COO was there so I cannot afford to make any silly mistakes. Especially in calling out the correct name with the correct designation. This is a very sensitive issue. After the ceremony, a few HOU told me that I did a good job. hehehe.... I was down to my last Baju Kurong on Friday. So I just wore the purple one. It was so cold on the 12th floor that I wore my blazer ...

Waiting

I'm still waiting. Dun like this anticipation man.....its killing me. Dun have the mood to write anything....just keep thinking about it. Oh yeah....the staff from the Accreditation Council finally gave me a call last Saturday. Boy, was she rude! Keep asking me for the Offer Letter.......Seriously.......I have told them a thousand times......I dun have it. I lost it. What do you want me to do???? Offer Letter is issued from the Uni at the start of my degree course, which is a over 5 years ago.......Tell me something......do you keep an unimportant document for 5 years????????? 5 FUCKING YEARS!!!!!! I thought that the Offer Letter is only needed when I enrolled in my Degree units for the first time.......... Does anyone.....anyone at all had the experience of any potential employer wanting to look at your offer letter????? NO!!!! They will only look at your degree cert...... I have been through my fair share of interviews and not one single employer did ask for my Offer Letter. Cant...

Launching of Project 3C

Friday the 13th I wonder why did they choose Friday the 13th to launch Project 3C..... Project 3C is a service excellence program that is intended to change the service culture that DST Group is currently in. The program strives to make it a living culture that all DST Group employees will live up to the standard. To instill in each and every employee of DST Group to have excellent customer skills. We intend to stand out from the rest. Anyway, evidently its a very important program for our company. All 7 of our branches were closed for the afternoon on 13.07.2007 to enable all the frontliners to come to DST HQ to participate in the launching. Even the staff from KB and Temburong were there. When we were on the 12th floor in the morning with the rest of the Secretariat, to check out the work of the Campaign and Promotions, I saw this.... Can see me? Damn I look so fat. Ba, I point out to u la. Hehe. Its me right there in the middle of the photo. Kinda weird when I'm quite new to the...

Stupid things that ppl do

I had just finished some errands yesterday afternoon. So there I was walking back to my car.....and I saw this..... Well....from far it looks like these 2 cars are turning out of a junction rite??? Take a closer look. There is no one in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wa lau eh these people ah. No brains issit? How can you block an exit junction just like that (suka suka hati). Although there are other exit junction, still that doesn't give u the excuse to park like an idiot. Its not that there are no more parking space for them. There are plenty, just that it is a bit further away, just less than 30 small steps away. Even if you really want to park closer to the main building.....please please, park somewhere where it is not the exit junction la..... I'm thinking whether these people are ignorant, stupid or just plain selfish. Or maybe all 3. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I would laugh in their face if their car was scratched or knocked by another big 4-wheel drive.

Brunei Darussalam Accreditation Council

Brunei Darussalam Accreditation Council This is where you have to bring your degree cert to be accredited by the Ministry of Education. I have to fill in 2 different types of forms. One form is in a letter format requesting the Council to accredit my degree. The other form is just what a normal form is like (requesting for more information and details) Then there is a list of documents that I have to attach with the application form. 1. Certificates (e.g. bachelor degree) together with transcripts 2. Result: GCE 'O'/'A' Level/OND/ HND ect (including Foundation course results and reports if applicable) 3. Letter of Offer 4. Other documents if possible Ok. I have to prepare the above list of documents. 1. Check. My degree cert - Bachelor of Commerce Double Major in Accounting and Finance and my transcripts. 2. Check. My 'O' Levels and Foundation cert and results. 3. Letter of Offer?????? Wo...wait a minute......I finished my Uni like 2 years ++ back.....and my deg...

What do u call your other half?

What do you call your bf or gf? Darling? Honey? Baby? Hubby? Lao po? Lau Kong? When Bi and me started dating, we call each other Darling or Ling for short. We were Ling to each other for quite some time. He had lots of pet names for me. I have no idea where did he get his inspiration from. Then he started calling me 'WaWa', which is Doll in Chinese. I think he called me that after we were watching some Hong Kong movie about a bunch of Japanese kick-ass gals. He mentioned to me in a casual way saying that those gals look like Japanese wawa. Then he turned to me and told me I'm a Brunei WaWa. Haha. I guess WaWa kinda stuck. So I became WaWa to him. Then shortly after that, I did something really silly (cant recall wat is it anymore) so he called me Adu!!!! It's just an expression. He combine Adu and WaWa........as time goes on....he started calling me ArtoWaWa. Or Arto for short. So friends started callin me Arto as well. Hehe. It doesn't stop there. He invented so ma...

Bits and pieces that made me smile. ~~~~~~~~~ I won B$50 in lami. Hehe. Extra pocket money. Woo hoo!!!! Actually, I won another B$20.00 from Bi but he dun wanna pay me. Huh!!!! ~~~~~~~~~ Bi and me were in the just opened Send Hoe Huat the other day. He was walking in front of me. His butt look so round and perky. Hahaha....I just went behind him to grab it. Hehehe. Very sexy ba his butt. ~~~~~~~~~~ Spending some time with Mami yesterday. ~~~~~~~~~~ When driving to work this morning, most of the cars in front of me, who is driving rather slow I might add, immediately went to the left lane when they saw that I was approaching them from behind. ~~~~~~~~~ Getting free movie tickets from HSBC and SCB. ~~~~~~~~~~ Bi asking me whether I wan die hard. What he actually mean was whether I wanna watch Die Hard 4.0 or not. His English is getting so bad. ~~~~~~~~~~

Future

Wow, talked about results. HSBC had gotten back to my complaint with a formal letter of apology. I feel much better knowing that actions had been taken following my complaint. In addition, they even gave me 4 tickets to Empire Cinema with free popcorn n drinks. Hehe, now I really feel much better. Credit should be given to HSBC for taking the initiative to compensate me and also that they had investigated the matter following my complaint. ~~~~~~~~~~ My Manager is currently on official trip to Taiwan and China. I also wanna go to Taiwan. I had seen so many TV shows about the food in Taiwan....YUMMY!!!! Lets hope that my year end bonus is enough for me to travel to Taiwan. ~~~~~~~~~~ I have been thinking about my future. What do I want? Where do I go from here? When will I be financially stable to set up a small family of my own? The main thing for me is to get my career on track and as for the finance part....it will definitely be stable once my career takes of. Let's see what are ...

The world is a weary place

There is a saying that I have heard some time ago "Laugh and the world laugh with you. Cry and you cry alone." How true this saying is. When one is down and weary, it will seem like the whole world is against you. Let it be the traffic, work, friends.....nothing will go smoothly once you are at war with the world. How to beat this? There is no other way except to be positive. But what if there is really nothing to be positive about? What happens then? No matter how well you perform, for some it will never be enough. There are always faults and complaints, here and there. Nothing you can do to avoid it. What to do then? No matter how much good deeds you perform, people will always remember you by the one bad deed that you have done, either consciously or not. No one will remember you by the good things that you have done. It will be forgotten. What to do if you are weary and there is no one for you to lean on? What to do if no one understands you? Or rather there is no one who...
