Sometimes I really think that qualifications is secondary to work attitude, knowledge and experience.
If I am a boss and wanna hire people, the most important factor that I am looking for is work attitude. Anything can be taught and learnt. But working attitude, that is something that is ingrained. Something like a leopard cannot change its spots.
As long as one is willing to learn, then I won't have a problem with it.
Some people, as far as I know, are show offs. They like to say whatever qualifications they possess. Either a degree, master, professional bodies, phd, etc. I know that its not easy to obtain that qualification. I totally understand the efforts that one has to put in.
The thing is that if one claimed that they have such qualifications (or that they really do have such qualifications) but somehow, the knowledge that they should have doesn't show up. Why is that?
Like for instance, (I'll give accounting examples since I am from Acct & Finance background), calculating depreciation.
I respect people who knows how to do something rather than people who just talks about how they know how to do something.
So sometimes, its better not to brag. Coz the more you brag, the more people expects out of you (since you claimed that you know how to do so many things)
Another thought for bosses, you might wanna look at the results that your staff had achieved and also the process by which they use to achieve that results.
