You know how there are lots of horror stories flying around the office, school or even homes.
The place where I am working are kinda well known for its 'extra' employees.
I guess that in the morning when my office are full of people, its less scary. Its actually quite warm (the environment and not the temperature)
There are currently 4 different lifts in my work place. One at the back, which is mostly used by people delivering heavy equipments. Then there are 2 lifts on the left. Most staff would use these 2 lifts as it tends to be faster. As for the last left, its on the right. There are dedicated users of this right lift. Me being one of them as the 2 lifts on the left are very congested most of the time.
So I noticed that 9 out of 10 times when I am using the right lift, it will definitely stop on the 3rd floor and again 9 out of 10 times, there wont be anyone there. Scary right? Some said its those 'extra's. (goose pimples!) But there are times when I still prefer to use this right lift as it is faster.
Anyway, there has always been horror stories regarding the back lift as it was seldom in used. As per many of the staff who had been working for quite a number of years, they told me that there is a 'jin' living in that lift. So naturally, with such stories flying, I only use it when absolutely necessary.
So I had a really strange experience the other day.
I was on the ground floor and going to the 10th floor. There were 2 other guys with me in the lift. One guy was going to the 4th floor (if I remember correctly) and the other to the 11th floor. The lift stopped at every floor and there would be the over weight alarm. On every floor! So we 3 had to go in and out of every floor, then the alarm would go off. It was so weird. I just thought that it was annoying and time consuming (I was in a hurry)
It was not until I relay this strange experience to my colleague that she told me (albeit jokingly) that it might be those 'extra's again. (major goose bumps)
Sometimes, it better not to be reminded about all these. Coz I used to work until quite late and I am alone most of the time mon the 5th floor. Normally it would only be me. (I am very hard working one. :P) Although there were some noises but I would normally ignore it as the building is like 10 years old and some creaks are inevitable. But once my colleague was telling me about all those 'extra's, my imagination were running in overload. Hahaha. That very day that he told me about all those things, I went home on time.
Bottom line? Don't work OT.
hahahaha
