Cinema Experience

It's been quite some time since I last went to Miri to overnight. Since Bi came to work in Brunei, I have been neglecting my 3rd home......Miri. I lived there for 3 whole years le. Wonderful memories back then.

Anyway, Bi and me went to watch Alien Vs Predator 2 in Star Cineplax.......Damn!!!!! The price of the tickets have increased from RM7.00 to RM9.00. Not converting to to Bnd la.....its damn expensive lo......when did the price increase to RM9.00 anyway.....the last time that I went to watch it was still RM7.00. How in the world did a movie ticket increase 28.57% in the span of 1 year? How indeed.....sigh. Oh yeah, Miri became Miri City liaw so everything also have to increase price...... I feel so sorry for Mirians whose salary did not increase but everything else is forever increasing.

ok ok enough complaining about the movie tickets since it is cheaper than Brunei's movie tickets anyway (after converting)

Now I wanna complain about the cinema environment...... The people there are really terrible (at least that haven't change one bit.....ahhhh.....consistency at last) First off......if you wanna watch movie, then please come on time. Not when the movie have been airing for about 15 mins. Its really annoying when you are into the movie plot and suddenly got someone moving in front of you showing the outline of their body (no....its not that great a body anyway)

Secondly.....PLEASE do not discuss the movie plot while at the cinema coz I, for one, have no intention of listening to you going on and on how you feel about the movie (loudly at that) during the movie.It feels like a damn pasar (market) you know.......so damn annoying. Talk all you want outside the cinema for all I care but can't you just shut up during the movie itself. If you are so good, then I suggest you write to the movie producer telling them to let you be the movie director next time.

Third, keep your mobile phones on silent mode......every now and then, I'll hear a mobile phone ringing......ranging from the traditional Nokia ringtones to Oldies to Trance to Top 20. If I wanna listen to music, I'll just stick with my good old Ipod Nano. Thank you very much!!!!!

When I am watching movies in Brunei, its less annoying. But this doesn't mean that its ok....its just less annoying.....the complaints are more or less the same. But there is this ever lasting memory created in my brain of this couple. They were hugging and kissing the whole time during the movie. It was in Kiulap Cineplax, where they can push the arm rest and VOILA there is nothing in between to stop them from kissing and hugging. Not that I'm a prude or anything but I'm just not use to such open DISPLAY OF AFFECTION in public. I just wanted to turn to them telling them to "Get a room". Its such a waste of money.... well I guess that its cheaper than actually going to the hotel I suppose..... Call me mean or anything you want........

Unveiling

I was so excited yesterday. Someone called and told me that it was ready for pick up. What is ready for pick up? What makes me so excited? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . What else would make me so excited other than cars? Woo Hoo!!!!! Subaru Impreze STi !!!! How cool is that? Bi fetched me yesterday around 5pm to pick up the car. I could not sit still at home. Was feeling so excited. STi has 3 settings, Intelligence, Sport and Sport Sharp. I read an article online saying that the Intelligence mode makes the STi crawls like a snail. Hmmmm, their exact words not mine. So Bi and me took the car out for a short drive. We were kinda disappointed with the power. It was then we realised that the setting was at intelligence. OMG!!!! When we changed the settings to Sport Sharp, the power is unbelievable. Its like 3 times faster and more powerful. We hit 180 km/h in less than 2 minutes (mite be less if not for those few turtles on the road). In the past S15 will need quite some time to hit 16...

After I read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes  a few years ago, I was waiting for the sequel. What would happen to Lou after Will left? What would her life be? If I am Lou, I will constantly ask myself 'Why am I not enough?' 'Is there anything that I could have done to change his mind?' 'Was it all just me? Just in my mind?' In this sequel, Lou was a wreck! But it's understandable though, she had just lost the love of her life. She has lost someone who had shown her the different aspects of life.
