Wedding Cake Design

I actually budgeted about BND500 for my wedding cake. No way I will go for those classic cake design with all those icing and stuff!

I went to my best friend for ideas! Who else but Google? LOL!

I narrowed it down to a few designs.

I actually thought of going for Cake No. 9 design but in the end, I feel its too simple and plain. In the end, I decided to go for Cake No. 5 and Cake No. 8 design. I know someone will know the significance of butterflies! 

Luckily for my wedding planner Grace again! I'm lucky to have her. She told me not to waste the money and just show OGH (Orchid Garden Hotel) my cake design and they can actually do it for me at $0.00. So I approached Azmin again and inquired about this. He informed that he will show my cake design to the chef and get back to me about whether they can do it without incurring any costs. 

In the end, he said that there will not be any additional costs! YIPEE!!!! Another cost saved! 

I imported those butterflies from Australia and this is how it looks like all flattened out.


OGH gave me the wrong measurements and the butterflies were not enough for the cake topper! Luckily my jimui came to my rescue, she went to KL for a short trip and bought me a simple cake topper. 

And ready for the actual cake?
Simple and yet elegant and it fit right in with the rest of the wedding theme, which was COLOURFUL!

Unveiling

I was so excited yesterday. Someone called and told me that it was ready for pick up. What is ready for pick up? What makes me so excited? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . What else would make me so excited other than cars? Woo Hoo!!!!! Subaru Impreze STi !!!! How cool is that? Bi fetched me yesterday around 5pm to pick up the car. I could not sit still at home. Was feeling so excited. STi has 3 settings, Intelligence, Sport and Sport Sharp. I read an article online saying that the Intelligence mode makes the STi crawls like a snail. Hmmmm, their exact words not mine. So Bi and me took the car out for a short drive. We were kinda disappointed with the power. It was then we realised that the setting was at intelligence. OMG!!!! When we changed the settings to Sport Sharp, the power is unbelievable. Its like 3 times faster and more powerful. We hit 180 km/h in less than 2 minutes (mite be less if not for those few turtles on the road). In the past S15 will need quite some time to hit 16...

After I read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes  a few years ago, I was waiting for the sequel. What would happen to Lou after Will left? What would her life be? If I am Lou, I will constantly ask myself 'Why am I not enough?' 'Is there anything that I could have done to change his mind?' 'Was it all just me? Just in my mind?' In this sequel, Lou was a wreck!
