I bought the book on Sunday and I finished reading the book last nite. I bought the book with recommendation from my sis Joanne. Actually I saw the book a couple of months ago and when I was reading the summary, it doesn't interest me all that much, so I didn't buy it.

However, after reading it, I have to admit, it was an interesting read.
Love between a vampire and a normal human being. With a hint of werewolves thrown in for good measure. Vampires and Werewolves, enemies as old as time. My favourite kind of story. Please note that this book is for young adults. (I still can read it what!!!! even though I am an adult and not a young adult)
The male lead, Edward Cullen......he is something like a greek god as the book described him. I understand the attraction for readers. Good looking, drives a fast car (this trait is the one that I like the most), excel at everything, fiercely protective of those he loves. It would seem like he has no weakness (except for the thrist of blood that is) Not to mention that he is the kind of guy that all the girls in the school would like to date except that Edward has bever shown any interest to them. Another interesting trait that I find interesting is that he has seen so many things (although he is 17 forever).
Another issue that I think its worth mentioning is that the female lead was described as quite an average Jane in her hometown Phoenix. I guess the attraction is there for us average people but for above average people to fall in love with us. Its the sense of self worth.
I am very tempted to go buy the rest of the series later. (They have it in Best Eastern)
But I do think that I need to study for my CPA. Sigh! I think I'll hold off the purchases for now. Once its Oct 25th....its my turn to go wild shopping!!!! hahaha Or else, I'll ask Bi to get the whole series for me as a reward for studying SO HARD!!!!!! (Bi this is a very subtle hint liaw le)
P.S. My exam is on 24th oct 2008, Friday. Wish me luck!!!!
