Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!!!!

Its been so long since I last wrote anything. Thats coz I don't have internet access while I'm in Bandar....still considering whether to get E-speed or not. Considering their after services are not all that good and with that kind of price that they are charging every month, one would expect them to have better and faster responses to customer's complaints.Hmmm....and another thing to consider is that they do not have a dedicated line...which means that even though I am paying for 512 mb, I do not get to use all of it, I am sharing with other users as well. I cannot look for any other broadband providers as they are the only one in Brunei....talk about monopoly. So I find myself asking whether do I really need internet connection or not....I mean there are alot of hotspots around so I can just bring my humonguos laptop.

Anyway.....I took some pictures yesterday with some of my new colleagues....

The view from the 12th floor was breath taking....my company held a function for Hari Raya Adiladha....so we got the whole afternoon off...not off actually....just that we don't have to work but its compulsory to go to the function.

Here's me...the wind is so strong....how come my hair don't look nice? Instead of looking wind swept....it just look messy..... That's not how they look in the movies.....Sigh.....

Hanie, Mirna (hope I get the correct spelling) and me with our bangs intact. The wind was so strong that we have to look for a spot where the wind wont get us and our hair. They are both very sweet and friendly....

So I sat there for the most of the afternoon listening to some guy giving speeches....and wow was it a long speech....Luckily I have Ting (another new colleague who ran off before I have a chance to take pictures with her), Mirna and Hanie to chat to....and there was food waiting for us at the end of the speeches so I guess its worth the wait. We were given small pouches that has pandan smell....later I found out that it is indeed filled with pandan leaves and some flowers.....I took a couple more as there was some left over and hanged it in my car....now my whole car smells like pandan....haha

I went to pick Bi up from his office last Friday and we took a couple of pictures too. Since he wanted to take a pic with his new company logo....

I wanna go on another holiday!!!!!! Air Asia just released another free 1 mil free seats....I'm thinking to go somewhere...maybe KL or Thailand....But the place that I really wanna go is Perth. I miss it lots....the food and the shopping and people there.....so lets just see whether I can go at the end of this year or not...depending on my bonus...hehe

Unveiling

I was so excited yesterday. Someone called and told me that it was ready for pick up. What is ready for pick up? What makes me so excited? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . What else would make me so excited other than cars? Woo Hoo!!!!! Subaru Impreze STi !!!! How cool is that? Bi fetched me yesterday around 5pm to pick up the car. I could not sit still at home. Was feeling so excited. STi has 3 settings, Intelligence, Sport and Sport Sharp. I read an article online saying that the Intelligence mode makes the STi crawls like a snail. Hmmmm, their exact words not mine. So Bi and me took the car out for a short drive. We were kinda disappointed with the power. It was then we realised that the setting was at intelligence. OMG!!!! When we changed the settings to Sport Sharp, the power is unbelievable. Its like 3 times faster and more powerful. We hit 180 km/h in less than 2 minutes (mite be less if not for those few turtles on the road). In the past S15 will need quite some time to hit 16...

After I read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes  a few years ago, I was waiting for the sequel. What would happen to Lou after Will left? What would her life be? If I am Lou, I will constantly ask myself 'Why am I not enough?' 'Is there anything that I could have done to change his mind?' 'Was it all just me? Just in my mind?' In this sequel, Lou was a wreck! But it's understandable though, she had just lost the love of her life. She has lost someone who had shown her the different aspects of life.
